These sessions focus on identifying the symptoms of CPTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) after narcissistic abuse and obtaining information on specific tools and techniques that you can put into practice at home to alleviate its effects.
I am also a great believer in finding meaning for everything that has happened. What it means is what drives us, what makes us feel happy and fulfilled. Finding your own unique meaning is one of the most important things you can do for yourself in a therapeutic setting. It's a big part of our recovery and well-being, and it's something we can work on in these sessions as well.
Many different variables are contributing to the symptoms of CPTSD. My approach to CPTSD healing draws on different theories like CBT and Existentialism. So I am eclectic. I use what works!
Finding meaning is curative because it acts much like a vaccine that prevents disease while healing ongoing afflictions. At the same time, we will work on specific tools and techniques to help you manage, lessen, and get rid of CPTSD symptoms.
